Presenting KSR Creative.

Krista Skjold-Robbins is a strategic storyteller, writer and presentation expert. After 25 years writing and crafting corporate communications, Krista struck out on her own in 2024. While she focused on building her business and client-base, I designed a punchy and fun identity to help her stand out and stay top of mind.

Scope

  • Logo
  • Brand Book
  • Swag

Logo System

Brightly colored cards in the 16:9 ratio (like a PowerPoint slide) provide a platform for conveying a feeling of energy, forward motion and creative unexpectedness. This represents Krista’s energetic, can-do personality and professional approach. An optional background “scribble” element symbolizes the chaos she often steps into ahead of an important presentation. She resolves these with her clear thinking and polished slide decks.

Logo Development

While it’s important to end up with pixel-perfect production files, it’s also important to start with the messy work of concepting to ensure the meaning goes much deeper than the style. Conversation, research, pencil and paper pave a pathway to context AI will never find.

Brand Book

A brand book should be right-sized for the need. Sometimes they are heavy on measurements and application constraints. Other times — particularly when a business is just starting — they serve as a tool to crystalize the business vision and brand tone. Keeping it focused helps it coalesce quickly as an efficient use of the budget.

Desk Candy

That moment when someone starts to prepare for (or panic about) an upcoming presentation is an important one for KSR Creative. Being top of mind in this moment means being top-of-desk. I created a design for colorful mugs. Each features the logo and a series of musical lyrics including the word “slide”. The mugs are a fun way to position KSR Creative physically and emotionally within arms reach when help is needed. Coasters are a terrific desktop compliment to mugs and business cards are always a good idea when attending conferences or meeting potential clients.

Success Story

In addition to using thought leadership on LinkedIn and social media to build the brand, Krista is busy creating presentations directly for clients. She’s also branching out into workshops and events including an escape room for a UnitedWay retreat in support of middle school girls.

“OMG Todd you are REALLY good at what you do, and I love all of these. I also cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate all the thought and creativity you put into this. Seeing this stuff makes all of this feel a little more real and professional and frankly, exciting.”
